It’s a choice to stand with people when it costs you. 2 Samuel 1:26 shows us David grieving for Jonathan: ‘…thy love to me was wonderful, passing the love of a woman.’ Jonathan was a prince. He should have guarded his throne. Instead, he guarded his friend. He gave David his robe, his sword and his amor. He chose loyalty over position. That’s resilient leadership. Resilience doesn’t mean you never get hit. It means you don’t drop the people you’re responsible for under pressure. Whether in the workplace, in business, or in any team, resilience looks like: · Mentoring past your fear Training others who could replace you. · Covering when it’s inconvenient Backing your partner in a tough situation · Keeping the mission bigger than self Jonathan’s crown could wait; Israel’s future could not.
